Artist's Comments

This is a toned illust for a Korean TuTu fanbook. I gave up the possiblity that DA will recover lost comments on my previous journal entry on TuTu. It was so sudden...I couldn't have enough time to backup them...(sob) So, I'm posting a process report here, instead of journal==;; I'm really sorry for the lost of your precious comments on TuTu...;_;

---------------------------------------- -------------------------------
3 days ago, Korean TuTu fans gathered for the first preparation seminar in Seoul. I couldn't go there, but I could get the recorded file of the whole semiar.

After listening the 5-hr-long discussion on TuTu, OMG I was totally shocked how many ways the anime can be explained. I thought I already knew a lot of TuTu, since I've loved it for two years...But I was wrong, wrong indeed.

In terms of Ballet, Classical music planning, and prologue setting, it had numerous meanings, and all of those elements were incredibly mastered. Frankly speaking, I had been confused at its 2nd season's story and finale. However...in fact, through the whole season, every scenes was giving hints of the final...All members of seminar were awed at how delicately TuTu staffs laid its underplot.

So I realized again...that I tends to be easily infatuated with mysterious things.

Zelgadiss was the first mystery for me. Never I could define his character perfect. You know, he has many ambivalences in himself. Thus drawing him in justice is extremely difficult. If you have ever tried to draw his fanart, you must agree with me-- Though I have drawn him more than 3,000 times but I can be hardly satisfied with my Zel drawing. That's why Zel became my top obsession, though my initial preference was close to Xelloss rather than to Zel.

Also, TuTu anime has a lot of mysteries, and it gives me many things to study and ponder on its various meanings. That's why I fell in love with TuTu after Slayers. (Slayers is still my prime obsession, though)

Don't be fooled at its title... It can be enjoyed for children and for adults at once, in different ways. One more...you'd better avoid TuTu comic book. It's disappointing and insipid, unlike anime.

If people didn't want to see it before, they most definitely will want to see it now (heck, I know I do). This is exactly one of the effects your art has on all of us. ^^

This is incredibly well-done, I love the whole design and background especially.
