This is for 's artbook submission as her guest. This guy is Lacewing's character, Dead End: ruthless one, doing what he needs to to surive in the future world. He's a rejected product of the 'projects' which make the 'deviants'.
Smoking bad, but in this charactor's case it's his medication. ANd frankly the injections make him ill, so he smokes it. Which is amusing since it becomes one of those cases of his codition killing him or the smoke.
He's certainlly one of my more dynamic charactors.
Oh, this is quite lovely. His expression is lovely, and the pose on the rubble is rather unique. I like how he's placed above the viewer--give an impression of him saying "I'm top dog" (I hate that phrase, but I can't think of a better one >_<. The smoke trail looks properly whispy and the lighting is quite lovely.
I've been doing quite well--thank you for asking! ^^ Been having much fun, reading old posts and remembering old times, and getting in touch with friends who I haven't gotten to talk to recently. It's been nice.
How have you been yourself? I can certainly see that you've been busy with art! And quite a lot of it, at that. I've just finished looking through it all--good stuff, good stuff.
Intense and dramatic lighting there my friend Those effects gives this image a voice of its own without having it saying a word ^^ I feel like I'm standing right there looking at the man and he's about to pounce me
He looks absolutely gorgeous ^_^ Once again the sunlight is utterly lovely and I love how the light shines from behind...it gives the picture a nice feel. I like the perspective a lot...as well as the pose! Great work
You know, I think you have very good talent on capturing people's emotion. Your pics are hilarious. You already know how to make 'lively' faces. That's the very point that I put importance on. There are many artists who have great skills but not 'lively feeling' on their characters. Their arts have inevitable limits to improve, since emotional put cannot be obtained through just practice.
But for you, you need just neatly mastered drawing skill. I think if you take more time in lining and coloring, your drawing will look great. lining is very important for manga work, because Manga is the art of lining.
To draw the nice-looking people's pose, Good to watch as many as model photos in fashion magazines and draw their poses. My drawing has a 'comfortable'proportion despite lack of anatomical reality. That's the result of numerous practice of fashion photo sketches. It will give you also better understanding on flows of clothings.
He be so sexy^^.... (rhymed and didn't mean to^^) +fav^^..... *puts his ciggi out* it isn't good to smoke.........
*is a dork^^* I love the way u did the hair.... outfit... expression......everything else.....^^
LOL I know, but then everyone spazzes about his cigs, and he actually needs them. LOL but then in his case he's dying already and really any lung cancer he could possibly get from smoking his meds is like.. well not likely.
LOL sorta like radiation treatment, if the cancer doesn't get you the radiation rot will.
